
![]() Jacksonville, FL Julie A. Balke, M.Ed. Julie Balke is a former classroom teacher with over 25 years experience. During her time spent teaching, she won the CBS Television Worth Teaching Award. She specialized in Reading, and was naturally attracted to the programs and the success for students that these programs have to offer. She has been involoved with these programs for close to 9 years. She has taught more than 12,000 hours over those years. Her students have all enjoyed tremendous success. "Mrs. B" has shown countless students the path to success in education through reading, including her own children. She has been the driving force behind both Chris and Sarah's involvement in these programs. She currently resides in the Jacksonville, FL area with her husband, James. Northern Virginia Chris F. Balke, M.A.T. Chris graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1997 with a Master of Arts in Teaching - Elementary Education. He has classroom teaching experience in every grade level K-8. Chris has been teaching these programs for several years and has over 4000 hours teaching experience with these programs. His sister's experience with these programs helped him decide to complete his educational training by learning these different programs. He currently lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and son. Jacksonville, FL Sarah E. Balke, B.A. Sarah graduated from Rollins College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She has extensive experience with these programs both as a student and as a teacher. During high school, Sarah was diagnosed with CAPD (Central Auditory Processing Disorder) and was subsequently taken to work at a clinic in San Luis Obisbo to improve her reading. She decided during college to major in Elementary Education and complete her training by learning these methods of teaching reading. Sarah has over 5000 hours of experience teaching these programs. She began teaching these programs during college summers. After seeing the high success rate with her students, she decided to teach these programs full time. Seeing the dramatic turn around in her ability to read has had a profound affect in Sarah's life. She has enjoyed the same success as thousands of other people as a student. |
